Welcome to Zelienople!
A Modern Place, with Old Fashioned Grace
Welcome to Zelienople! Founded in 1802 by Baron Dettmar Basse and named after his daughter, Zelienople has grown from a rural community into one of America’s most loved small towns. Every year our community comes together to celebrate the Fourth of July, our community, and the history that brought us to this moment in time.
Each year, between 7 and 10,000 people visit our community to celebrate, share in our hospitality and the joy that makes our community such a wonderful place to work, live, and play. The parade and celebrations are a joint effort, planned and orchestrated by the Zelienople Historical Society, the Zelienople Rotary Club, and the Town of Zelienople.
In addition, the Zelienople Area Business Association works hard to connect our local businesses to the celebrations. From Spring Street to Newcastle Street, our local businesses weave together to create a vibrant tapestry of life in our town. Be sure to plan your trip to Zelienople over History Week so you don’t miss out on your next favorite place to shop, sip, or sup!
